Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company is a Basic Life Support emergency medical service providing primary BLS coverage to Hanover Township Northampton County. We are a combination career/volunteer EMS agency with 3 BLS trucks. One BLS truck is in service 24/7 365 days a year. We serve over 11,000 residents who reside in 6.5 square miles of our Township. Additionally, we serve the many businesses within our many industrial parks in the Township. Annually we respond to over 2,000 incidents per year. We also provide mutual aid to other local municipalities. We strive to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
Additionally we are dispatched on almost all fire calls, from automatic fire alarms, and motor vehicle collisions, to fires. Our first priority is treating any personnel or patients at the scene. Secondarily we provide “rehab” (rehabilitation) for firefighters, assuring their health is monitored, assuring that they are hydrating, changing their SCBA/air tanks, etc.
We also participate in a variety of community events, providing “stand-by” service, an ambulance with a crew on site during a specific event. (Ex. 5K run, AHA Heart Walk. Master’s Bike Race, etc.)
All training and equipment is provided by HTVFC. EMS Drill is held Monday nights from 7pm to 9:00pm. We participate in combined fire/EMS drills to assure that both fire and EMS services are prepared for various types of incidents.
If you are interested in serving your community, your friends and family, your neighbors, stop by the station during our Monday night drill, and ask to speak with an EMS Officer.
