Volunteer Application Process
To be considered for membership at Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company #1, in any of the services, complete the following documents:
Hanover Township Membership Application. (Complete all sections.)
PA State Police “Request for Criminal Record Check”. (Complete the section in the middle of the page, name, SS#, DOB, etc.)
After you have completed the above documents, arrange to drop them off at the station, or return them via US Postal Mail. The fire company will submit your criminal history check, please do not send this in on your own.

After the background checks have been performed, and the references have been contacted, your application is considered at our next monthly membership meeting. You will be contacted after you have been accepted into membership.
There is a “new member packet” that you must complete prior to responding to any incidents. We will coordinate a time to review this with you.
We are always accepting application for the career EMS. Shifts are days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Requirements are as follows;
- PA EMT-B, NREMT-B or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- CPR for Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider
- Valid Driver License (necessary for driver training)
- EVOC EMSVO
